Head Teacher Olive School
South London
Mr Maddison of A.N Consultancy has a joint role at the school as both Student Mentor and Student Liaison Officer. Working closely with the school’s Connexions service, he is responsible for ensuring the smooth transition of our students to college and other post 16 provisions. His work in securing a success rate of 95% successful college transitions was praised by Ofsted in December 2010. He was timetabled to teach Careers and a Mentoring Programme to each class at the school on a weekly basis. He also mentors at least 15 students on a rolling programme on a one-to-one basis tackling varying issues such as Confidence Building, Anger Management etc and has made significant improvements to student self esteem, engagement and behaviour. He is well regarded by both staff and students, establishing relationships based on trust, support and challenge.
I can confirm that Mr Maddision of A.N Consultancy has had no allegations concerning his conduct to his name and has not been subject to any disciplinary action during his time at the school. He has contributed a great deal to the development of Olive School over the last 6 years. His influence and contribution represents a significant loss to the school. I recommend him without reservation. - Steve Green (Head Teacher Olive School 2009-2011)
